Frequently Asked Questions
We offer soft synthetic lashes or mink lashes in a variety of styles:
Jet-black | Natural brown | Dark Brown | Ombre | Coloured lashes (red, blue, purple, etc) | Mini jewel lashes
Our lash extensions have an oval base, which makes the base of the lash flat creating exceptional stability when attached to your natural lashes.
All of our lash extensions come in a variety of curls, lengths and diameters.
The diameter, curl and length is chosen to best suit your natural lashes.
A single lash extension is applied to every one of your natural lashes giving you a naturally glamorous look. We don’t apply clusters of lashes and we won’t add extensions to your baby lashes.
Volume lashes are shaped like a fan, and consist of 2-7 lashes per extension. Often known as Russian Volume lashes. These extensions give a fuller more dramatic effect over the classic lash look. For clients with sparse lashes we recommend a volume set, as they provide a lot of warmth and fluffy fullness to your lashes.
Want a full, sultry and fluffy look? We can mix classic and volume lashes together, so you can have it all!
WHAT ARE FILLS?
You’ll set up appointments for a fill every 3-4 weeks to re-fluff your lashes. Eyelashes naturally shed just like all the hair on your body. On average you’ll shed 2-5 lashes per eye, per day.
During your fill appointment we’ll add extensions to your newly grown adult lashes and gently remove the older ones. Keeping your set looking fresh, full and fabulous. We can always add more or less volume to your lashes depending on what you’d like.
To be clear a fill is only applicable to clients who have 40% of their lashes still in tact, anything less will be considered a new set.
Feel free to send us a picture of your lashes if you are unsure of how many lashes you have.
On average your eye will naturally shed 2-5 lashes per eye per day. Please keep in mind that every client is different. Some clients may have 250+ lashes, while other clients may have only 80 lashes. Fill times vary for each client based on the client’s own number of lashes and the type of lashes they had applied (classic, hybrid or volume) , therefore fills could range from 2 weeks - 5 weeks. Based on an average 3-4 weeks is suggested for fills.
Notes on shedding:
One of the clients natural lash will shed with the type of lash extension that was applied on that natural lash (classic or volume).
On average in 1 week you will lose 21 eyelashes
On average in 2 weeks you will lose 42 eyelashes
On average in 3 weeks you will lose 63 eyelashes
WHAT KIND OF ADHESIVE IS USED?
We use Misencil HD Adhesive. This glue has two ingredients, Ethyl-2 cyanoacrylate and poly methyl methacrylate. The glue bonds instantly and you can apply makeup and shower in as little as 2 hours after an application.
WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO REMOVE MY LASHES OR HAVE A REACTION TO THEM?
If you have a reaction to the lash extensions we recommend contacting your healthcare provider first. Then, please contact us so we can remove the lashes for you using Misencil Adhesive Remover, an express gel formula that will not damage your natural lashes. The gel remover simply loosens the adhesive so that the lash extension glides right off of your natural lashes. No damage, breakage or pain will occur during the removal process, just lay back and relax!
Do eyelash extensions hurt?
Eyelash extensions should not hurt if they are applied correctly.
Do lash extensions damage my natural eyelashes?
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions will not damage your natural lashes. Certified lash artists will apply one lash extension to one natural lash with proper isolation, weight and length distribution to ensure the integrity of your natural lash is maintained. Damage can occur if your lash extensions are too heavy, too long, or if the lash artist is using too much glue and gluing multiple lashes together without proper isolation. Damage can also occur if the client doesn't take care of their lash extensions; pulling lashes, tugging lashes, twisting lashes, not using oil-free/sulfate free products, not brushing lashes properly, not washing them properly, ect.
Can I wear eye makeup with lash extensions?
Yasss honey! Please make sure you’re using water based oil-free eye makeup and eye makeup remover.
